Television is a fascinating thing that captures viewers over and over again. Some sitcoms have lasted for years, still remaining in the top ten viewed each week. People fall in love with the characters that keep them returning week after week. A good example is the millions of Americans enjoying the TV show the Cleveland Show.

These lovable characters have found their place in American hearts since the show premiered in September of 2009 on the Fox network. It was created by Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, another animated. This show is actually a spin-off of Family Guy.

It is a show about the Browns who moved to Stoolbend, Virginia. Originally, Cleveland Brown wanted a new life and decided to go to California to get it. Somehow, he ends up in his hometown. What is interesting to viewers of both the series is that the creators promise visits from characters on each show.

In the Cleveland Show, the main character meets up with an old girlfriend whom he marries and lives with. The rest of the family includes his wife’s two children and his own son, Cleveland Jr. Who is now much heavier and 14 years old.

As with critics in many series and movies, there have been conflicting reviews. Many of them quite negative. But, the population seems to have a mind of their own and don’t really care what they have to say. On the other hand, there have been many good reviews. In addition to this show airing in the United States, other countries like Brazil, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Russia are currently airing it as well.

There are ways in which to watch such shows. They have a strange sense of humor and often refer to sex and sometimes racists jokes. So, young children are certainly not the target audience. As it the case with Caprica or the Vampire Diaries, this program is made for late teenagers or older.

Unfortunately, parents can be misled for some reason, that if a show is animated, it is perfect for children of all ages. Not so! The truth is that even some adults can be left in awe with what they hear and see. If you are open minded, then give it a try. If not, certainly there are other shows airing at the same time. What’s important is that you judge for yourself.
