Every person should have the right to choose their own religion or not;  I am a non – believer.  Most faiths are true and fair and people believe in the good taught by their chosen faith and as a collective many good deeds are achieved.  What I have a problem with is some people’s interpretation of their faith and the need to convert others to their “faith”. In life we all have choices from our favorite meal, sport of T.V programme so why can´t we choose our own faith and practise what we choose to preach.In today’s society as I see it, there are fanatics within religious groups who profess that they need to “slay” or “convert” the non-believers!Since time has been recorded differing faiths have clashed in war and still in the 21st century this supposed good remains the cause.All corners of the globe have suffered from this economic downturn and still many in the world are sick and hungry and yet more is spent on religious war than feed the sick and needy.The world would be a much better place if we all took stock of right from wrong, good and evil and learnt to tolerate our religious differences rather than enforce our own.I am not a well read person but I get real upset listening to all the media and the anti religious stuff on air..  If a church, mosque or synogue makes a difference in its worshippers lives let them financially sustain it.  A State should govern in the interest of all its citizens and state and religion should not mix }.The principle faith of any one land should respect any minority group’s faith however; the minority should respect that of the adopted nation.  I wonder what it would be like to live in a world free of war and religious strife?  Although it may sound too easy it would be great if we could all give it a try.
