Often, it’s hard to know where to begin looking on your quest to find an acting job. It just takes some guidance to find your first acting job.

With some experience in theatre and TV under your belt, it would help you to get more acting jobs. Acting jobs don’t last forever so you’ll need to jump from one acting job to another. As an actor or actress, auditions and open casting calls will be a way of life.

It’s better to have acting jobs lined up than trying to find one every time.

Keep your resume updated along with your headshot photo of you. Your headshot is a photograph of you that is updated from your shoulders and up. Keep a black and white and color photo handy. Keeping your photo updated will help you get more auditions.

Make sure you and your agent both have at least 50 headshot pictures on hand at any given time. Also be sure that your full name is on the headshot with your agent’s information as well. It will help you if you can get the information on how to get acting.

Be sure to keep your acting experience up to par. You have to start somewhere so you can always start by working on the set of a TV or movie crew. You’ll need to earn your ranks in acting from somewhere. Even jobs that are non-paying is some place you can start. Figure out how to get into posting a casting call then you’ll know where to find it.

I know it can be tough bouncing from one acting job to another, but don’t get discourage and keep on chugging.
