Sometimes we listen to a song on the radio or TV and want to know what the title is, who the singer is, etc. If we can’t find the details though, we keep trying to find it out. In this article, we’ll discuss how we can find a song using lyrics. These methods are all based on the Internet. With the advancement in technology over the years, Internet has become the place to get any information.

 
The easiest method to find a song using lyrics is to use Google. All you have to do is type the lyrics that you know in the search engine box of google.com and hit search. Depending on how popular the song is, you may end up with a lot of results. Go through those links and check if it’s the song that you were looking for.

To narrow down the search accurately and to avoid unnecessary results use quotes to enclose the lyrics that you are looking for. Usually, this would get you your desired results unless the song you’re searching for is rarely found, or is very old.

‘Yahoo answers’ has a large music database filled with questions and corresponding answers. Go to Yahoo Answers and type in the search box to find your desired results. If someone else has already asked the same question it will show up and you can access his answer.

If the database comes up with zero results for your search, you can yourself ask the question by posting the same lyrics. There is a separate section for asking question related to music and different genres. Someone who knows the answer and is browsing Yahoo! Answers might see your question and give you the answer.

There are many dedicate sites especially designed for finding songs only with lyrics. Some of the popular ones are lyrster, lyricsfly, etc. Their databases are filled with song details and their lyrics. Type the lyrics that you know and search and the song that you are looking for will appear. The collections of songs vary with different websites and hence if you did not get any matches in one try another.
