Apprenticeships have existed in one kind or another for hundreds if not thousands of years.  Way back to the earliest times of civilization, apprenticeships have been used for training experienced craft professionals of the next generation.

Nowadays apprenticeships have featured greatly in such professions as baking, pipefitting, electrical work as well as other vocational trades.  Functioning side by side and aiding a master craftsman is precisely how apprentices know.  Upon completing their training apprentices are graduated and qualified to get out there and perform on their own.

Beyond affordability, flexibility and functionality, apprenticeships offer one other evident advantage on college.  Apprentices working in such programs possess the possibility to make something that is simply too tough and too impossible to make while seated in classroom listening to a lecture: professional connections.

Simply because such media related areas, let’s face it, whom you know is often just as significant as what you know.
