Years ago, many of us have enjoyed taking pictures using analog cameras until the digital cameras have invaded the photography scene and rendered most of these analog cameras almost obsolete. Because digital cameras don’t require people to use rolls or sheets of films and instant films, an increasing number of people have conveniently switched to using digital cameras.
While other companies were able to cope up with the digital phenomenon, Polaroid Corporation found it hard to stay in the game of selling instant cameras and films which prompted them to file bankruptcy.
Later on, the new owners of Polaroid have saddened a lot of loyal users when they announced in 2008 that they would already stop producing Polaroid 600 films by the year 2009.
Despite the fact of losing such polaroid 600 films, though, there are also polaroid compatible films that are marketed by Fuji.
A dream was then later conceived to bring back Polaroid’s offering of their instant analog film. The Impossible Project worked really hard to create again the instant film that Polaroid users never want to be without. Polaroid has even taken steps to create a modern image when they took in Lady Gaga as creative director. She is one of the key people in bringing more people to have an interest again to go Polaroid.
Today, the Impossible Project became possible. An improved version of the Polaroid one step camera, which uses the polaroid color 600 instant film, has already been released in the market. Such a film can also be used to load the old Polaroid cameras.
Polaroid loyalists can definitely smile and rejoice again knowing that they will no longer run out of instant films for their Polaroid instant cameras again. Now, wouldn’t that be enough for us to get interested in Polaroid cameras?
