Nothing might be more endearing to a veteran than seeing a child’s eye dancing with delight as they watch a nylon American Flag freely waving. There may be no higher technique to honor veterans than by showing our current technology how to admire and love our nation and its symbol, the American Flag.

As a mother or father who has a toddler’s car seat often filled with a grandchild I’ve discovered a wonderful automobile sport, that of on the lookout for our American flag in all places we drive. Just this one little sport alone has made an enormous difference with my children. They needto buy an American flag.They want their mother and father to have an outdoor american flag, they want clothes with flags on them, they want a flag on the window of their automobile, they usually desire a flag in their bedrooms. I’ve taught my children that the red, white and blue, stars and stripes is “their” flag.

Children have a powerful need to belong. At this time we have too many youngsters undecided of the place they belong. Households are break up aside; individuals transfer usually, parents depart children behind for a wide range of reasons, and none of this is smart to children. Having an American flag symbolize to young children that they belong to one thing large, an enormous household of Individuals, provides them a way of pleasure and security. Simply falling in love with their flag at an early age gives a powerful foundation to build American delight and appreciation as kids develop.

With the future technology of Individuals being born at this time, we every have an opportunity to impress upon younger youngsters the story of those who have made America great. Once a child learns to like their flag, seeing it wherever, especially on an unique day that honors veterans makes telling the Veterans Day story personal because it comes alive to a child.
