 Not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth and parents or relatives as an ATM, so many of us have to find ways to finance projects.   Of course publicity, promotion and recording all cost money. So it issignificant to find ways to save on expense while not compromising on quality. You will certainly have to make sacrifices to see your star rise, this might for example mean not going to the club in order to pay for CDs to be pressed. 
 
It is all about your drive, so if you are a go-getter, then chances are you can set up shop and begin selling things to finance your projects yourself. Concerts are another way to maybe raise some revenue but ultimately the early stages are not so much about what you can make as what you can save.
 
Instead of paying for a hard-copy press kit it might be worth considering an EPK. It will cost some money to set it up the right way but will certainly be cheaper than printing and posting hundreds of hard-copy press kits. You might want to get a friend to do your graphic design and when you hit the studio make sure you don’t waste any of the valuable time you are paying for.
 
All told it is about promotions, the buying and pressing of CDs, the electronic press kit, the aligning yourself with great people who are willing to help, and even hiring a public relations professional. It is all about buzz, and how well you are packaged. If you have to, to fund your career, get a few side jobs, do shows (even the ones that are not paid), because they are helping you ‘pay’ for your career more than you will ever know. Put down the sneakers or the jewelry, and use that money to fund your career, if you are truly serious about it. The only ones that will survive in this game are the ones that are serious.

Many people are unaware of the fact that child abuse reports drop drastically during the summer months, and have no idea why that would happen. Experts tell us this happens because during the summer children are not around teachers and other professionals on a daily basis, as those individuals are trained and mandated to file a report if they see any indicators of child abuse neglect. Yet child abuse prevention is everyone’s responsibility. Since most cases of sexual abuse are perpetrated by family members or family friends, “stranger danger” is actually less of a threat.

In the history of the world only one strategy has worked to overcome a public health problem and that is to focus on the cause. Is child abuse and molestation a public health problem? Child protection services experts say yes, as it qualifies on two counts: number of victims and damage to health. Abusing a child obviously endangers a child’s emotional and physical health. Most unfortunately, the number of children victimized is in the millions.

One child abuse prevention plan states that we need to do what health professionals have done that is proven to work and that is to find out what causes the problem and then work to devise something that will stop it. Experts tell us that 95% of these acts are an ongoing drive directed towards children; if we could stop older children from developing that disorder, then the number of victims would definitely fall. Many feel that even the simple act of talking about this openly and factually will aid greatly in the prevention of child abuse.

Telling others about the facts is considered very important. Once medical professionals know what causes a disease or disorder, the next step in getting rid of the problem is by getting the word out in health news; providing the necessary information to help stop the problem.

The subject of child abuse prevention is a very difficult one for some people, as it forces them to talk to family and friends about this dreadful, child maltreatment problem. Not many people feel comfortable discussing it as it makes them realize how close to home it can be, forcing them to face the issue. But, increasing the public’s awareness about the facts is a huge part of becoming an abuse free environment.

I have been a comedy fan for all my adult life.  I have observed so many various styles of comedians that I feel like I am an expert in detecting a comedian who is regularly funny.  From the early days of comedy (Jack Benny, for instance) to present day comedy stars, no one has arrived at the comedic level of Jerry Seinfeld.  By virtually any measurement, he is the most successful comedian who ever graced the stage.

The Seinfeld stand up comedy tale is an fascinating one.

Jerome Allen Seinfeld was born in April of 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. His father, Kalman Seinfeld, was of Galician Jewish background and owned a sign-making company. His mom, Betty, is of Syrian Jewish ancestry.
Seinfeld developed a serious interest in standup comedy in his college days, even though he was considered the class clown all the way through college.  After graduating from Queens College, he discovered himself at an open-mic night at New York City’s Catch a Rising Star. 

Fortunately for Jerry, he was seen by the reigning king of humor at the time, Rodney Dangerfield (another favorite comic of mine).  Rodney had Jerry perform on one of his HBO programs, which began his ascent to eventual stardom.  In 1979, he had a really small continuing role on the Benson sitcom as “Frankie”, a mail delivery boy who had comedy routines that no-one wanted to hear. Oddly enough he was fired from the show due to creative differences.

It’s difficult to appreciate today that anybody would fire Seinfeld from a Television show, but it actually occurred.  And it wasn’t dealt with very well. No one bothered to tell him he had been dismissed until he turned up for an episode read-through meeting and discovered that there was no script for him.  Although it was hard to fathom at the time, the Seinfeld stand up comedy era was about to begin.

Obviously Jerry was able to overcome this setback, and went on in 1981 to a extremely productive appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.  His act had truly impressed Carson, which led to frequent Tonight Show performances over the next several years.  

By the end of the decade he and his pal, Larry David started development on a ground-breaking sitcom known as the The Seinfeld Chronicles. Eventually the name would change to the moniker that we all recognize these days:  ‘Seinfeld’.  They did this to prevent confusion with the short-lived teen sitcom known as The Marshall Chronicles.

By its fourth season, ‘Seinfeld’ had become the most popular and successful sitcom on American television. The Seinfeld stand up comedy machine had really found its mark.  The final episode aired in 1998, and the show has preserved its popularity with syndicated re-runs ever since.

Jerry’s post-sitcom career has continued to thrive, with regular appearances in Las Vegas, and in large comedy locations around the country. His emphasis has been live, stand up comedy as opposed to venturing out into movies as many of his peers have done (Tim Allen and Ray Romano, for instance).  

2010 has witnessed another milestone in the career of Jerry Seinfeld.  He has introduced a new tv series which will also prove to be breaking new ground.  Jerry is the master of pressing the comedy envelope, and his latest Television effort is yet another example.  It is known as the Marriage Ref, and stars Tom Papa, Natalie Morales, and obviously Jerry himself. 

The premise involves real-life couples currently involved in a conflict (and aren’t we all?). There is a three person panel made up of various celebrities who are showed both sides of the discussion. These celebrities then talk about the merits of each participant and vote on their selection of the winner.

The initial reviews of the show were almost completely bad, with many bordering on nasty.  Even so, The Marriage Ref was renewed by NBC for another season.  It’ll be fascinating to see if Jerry can perform his magic on this show, and I guess I would not bet against him.  After all, ‘Seinfeld’ was a slow starter in its first season, but was able to develop into a ratings powerhouse in the ensuing years.  
With a little luck The Marriage Ref can do the same.

If you ask me, if anyone can turn around a ratings catastrophe, it’s Jerry Seinfeld.

Increased incentives and tax-breaks for e-vehicle owners combined with a boosted economy could significantly increase the need for lithium due to increased battery demands however caution is prudent as continued recession could negatively impact the market leaving the current situation of lithium supplies in a surplus and costs rock-bottom for years to come.
