I already use solar electricity for my hot water system, which I had installed by a firm of experts and was comparatively expensive.  For some unknown reason I was sure that wind power would be more cost-effective, how wrong I was.  

After getting a few quotations from area contractors, which only went to prove that I couldn’t afford a ready built wind generator, I was on the edge of thinking that I would have to forget the entire concept and would have to tolerate the constantly rising power charges for the obvious future.  

Before giving up altogether I chose to look once more on the internet for any other chances and I discovered a few sites advertising guides showing you how to build a wind generator at very little cost.  Digging further, I found a site that was offering wind generator plans which led you thru the entire process with step-by-step instructions and videos so that you can see that you’re doing the job right.  

After downloading the guide from the Green Power simple website I was able to get on with the project.  Included in the guide was everything I wished to know on the way to build a wind generator of my very own, from the easy way to figure out the size of the wind turbine blades that I might need, whereabouts to find the materials, check out the wind speeds at my location, and even where to go to discover about central authority repayments that are available for converting to wind power.  

What stunned me most about the diy wind power project was how cheap it seemed to be, I spent $100’s and not the $1000’s it might have cost me if I had gone for a readymade installation.

Do you care about the earth about as much as you love the state of your home?   I do!   Using Green products to make sure my house is  in great condition is a goal in my everyday life.  As a consumer, it is my job to have a goal to sanitize my house with environmental responsibility.  I choose not to purchase fancy earth-friendly cleaning supplies from the hardware store – there are four excellent natural items that you probably have in your home already that work great as enviromentally-friendly cleaning products and will keep your home safe, sanitary and dust free! The perfect four products — vinegar, salt, lemon juice, and baking soda are the top rated natural and enviromentally safe products you can use to clean your home.

First, let’s tackle the non-stop task of washing your smudged mirrors.  One of the best mirror cleaners you can utilize that is also earth-friendly and solves the streaking problem is a solution of 4 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice mixed with a half gallon of warm water.  Then instead of using a paper towel to wipe the mirror clean use a lint free rag or a recycled cotton t-shirt. 

Furniture polish products are usually exceptionally near the top of the list of causing harm to the environment.   Instead of buying such a harmful type of cleaner, stir up a batch of 2 parts olive oil with 1 part lemon juice and apply it to your furniture using a soft cloth.  The lemon juice deordarizes while leaving a lemony scent and the olive oil protects your wooden table and leaves a healthy shine.

Did you know that a few kitchen products can shine your copper or brass antique pieces? As time goes by brass has a tendancy to tarnish and before you know it, you are planning to entertain relatives and your brass heirloom serving set from your great grandmother is tarnished.  No big deal!   All you need to do it mix up a paste of equal parts salt, vinegar, and flour.  Then rub with a soft cloth totally covering the entire piece. Let stand for at least one hour until it dries out.  Gently rub off with a clean cotton t-shirt.

Another great earth-friendly suggestion to sanitizing your house is simply to de-clutter the excess junk you have accumulated over time.   Give it away to a charity who needs it more and you will be surprised at how great you feel and how it can make your everyday life feel less chaotic. Water Damage

Others sometimes suffer total memory loss, lose their way and forget their words which can result in an instant loss of credibility. Being able to present with total assurance and impact is nowadays an essential tool in the armoury of any leader. Their ability to deliver high quality presentations will very much be the difference between closing the deal, influencing the right people and winning the hearts and minds of their people or losing the business, their client’s trust and their own reputation.

Delivering a powerful presentation is a core leadership skill whether delivering a message or handling a Q&A session at the end of an executive board facilitation.

There is a common belief that speaking in public  is a gift that you either inherit or you don’t , that comes naturally or doesn’t.  • Congruence –  When people communicate be it through conversation or on their feet in front of a group they do so using three modes of communication  – with the content of their speech , but also with their body movement and their voice. Congruence is when all of these channels communicate the same message . The effect of congruence is to communicate with impact, preciseness, focus and clarity. 

• Connection –  Connection is a sense the audience have of a personal connection with the presenter . When you sense a personal connection with someone they are likeable, more believable and more credible as an individual   . And we are more ready to be influenced by people we like and feel connected to than people we don’t like and feel no connection to. Think about a few popular presenters  that you see present on TV, do you like them? Do you feel you have made a connection with the person who is speaking to you? Or did you feel no real affinity for them at all ? What about if you met them at a dinner party  , how comfortable would you feel walking up to them to say hello  ?

A tennis player might improve their play when they start to notice which way the ball is spinning as it travels through the air. A salesman might increase their sales figures if they qualify their prospects more effectively . A racing car driver might shave 100th of a second off his qualifying lap if  he times his acceleration right as he pulls out of each bend.

Making finer and finer adjustments to your performance is the key to mastery but you needn’t do it alone.
